Mirna Therapeutics is seeking an accomplished Scientist with a strong background in cancer biology to lead projects that will enable the therapeutic application of miRNAs. Candidates are expected to have experience with in vitro and in vivo cancer models and demonstrated expertise in the analysis and application of RNA. An excellent publication record and previous work in RNA interference (siRNA or microRNA) is preferred. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication skills, the ability to think creatively in a broad area of biomedical science, demonstrated leadership capacity and the ability to work collaboratively in scientific and drug discovery settings. Good grant writing skills are desired.
Mirna Therapeutics is seeking an energetic Scientist with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology to identify and develop therapeutic miRNAs using in vitro and in vivo model systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tissue culture with primary cells and cancer cell lines. Essential techniques include DNA/siRNA transfections, constructing stable cell lines, microscopy and implementation of fluorescence, luminescence and other cellular screens. Previous work with animal cancer models is a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to work well in a team environment with minor supervision.
